Breeding community

Gerhard Thurau is one of the oldest breeders in Mecklenburg, Germany.

Since 1964 he has been successfully breeding the Carnica bee, the Singer line at our location in Mecklenburg, Germany.

Many professional and part-time beekeepers from northern Germany repeatedly fall back on his constant breeding: efficient and robust queens. It is a bee that hibernates well, has long adapted to the regional, harsh climate of the north and develops rapidly in spring.

The breeding community Gerhard Thurau / Jan Krauter exists since 2011 (No. 8 of the regional association of beekeepers Mecklenburg, Germany).
